US Currency Redesign - Typefaces
So, after seeing some posts about people’s idea’s for redesigning the paper currency of the United States, as well as a post about the illustration of a perceptually Asian woman being removed from the new Canadian currency, which I think is interesting, I found myself thinking, if we’re going to consider a new currency design for the US that is more similar to the currencies of Canada and the Eurozone, maybe, instead of using a font like Helvetica, we should use a font designed by a Usamerican designer?
Like Myriad, designed by Carol Twombly and Robert Slimbach, or Slimbach’s Minion or Utopia? Just two of my favorit US type designers, and some of their most iconic work.
